We should then at least consider the possibility that an octopus is a being with multiple selves. There is a primary or most complex self – the central brain – but also eight smaller ones. These smaller ones might not be sentient or conscious, but the general shape of the situation would be: 1 + 8.
This is Bullish for octopi industrialization I think.
